Surprise has the lowest crime rate in Arizona

A Washington based private research firm ranked Surprise as the safest city in Arizona. Surprise, AZ was also number 33 on the list of the safest cities in America.

Published in the Congressional Quarterly, a report titled “City Crime Ranking: Crime in Metropolitan Amercia” placed Surprise as the highest ranked city in Arizona. The research was based on 378 cities in America with at least a minimum population of 75,000 people.

Surprise, AZ has always been thought of as a "safe" place. This study just confirms the feelings of many Surprise residents.

Surprise Arizona hosts the 6th Annual Celebrity Flag Football Challenge

The 6th Annual Celebrity Flag Football Challenge will be in Surprise, AZ on February 2, 2008. Past and present NFL greats Chad Johnson, Otis Wilson, Eric Green, Darnell Dockett and many others will join Doug Flutie in Surprise, AZ for the 6th Annual Celebrity Flag Football Challenge, which is the official flag football event of the Super Bowl!

Below is the list of celebrity players scheduled to attend the game, as announced by event promoter SPP Sports:

Doug Flutie; Neil Rackers (Arizona Cardinals kicker); Darnell Docket (Arizona Cardinal); Chad Johnson; Alan Branch (Arizona Cardinal); Eric Green (Arizona Cardinal); Kenoy Kennedy; Eddie Drummond; Willis McGahee; Kasim Osgood; Lance Briggs; Glenn Holt; Travis Fisher; Marshawn Lynch; Chris Cooper (Arizona Cardinal); Chris Harris; Drayton Florence; Derrick Johnson; Rock Cartwright; Derek Hagan (ASU All Time Leading Receiver); Andre Hall; Otis Wilson; Greg Townsend; DMC (Rapper); Quinn Gray; and Tae Bo Master - “Billy Blanks” (list of players is subject to change)

The 6th Annual Celebrity Flag Football Challenge is the featured event of “Super Time Saturday in Surprise, Arizona” a day-long family sports and entertainment festival. The game will be rebroadcast as a 30 minute show for FSN-Arizona (Fox Sports Network) on February 9 at 4:30 p.m.

Great time to Buy a Home

FHA just announced a new "zero down" program. It actually requires 1.5% of the home purchase price as a down payment, but the seller of the home will be allowed to pay it for the buyer. Once again, you will be able to buy a home for about $500 to $1000 total. That's less than the deposits required to rent a house! Stop making your landlord rich. This is the time!
